Group Sales and Outreach Supervisor

Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing  



Noah’s Ark Waterpark



The Group Sales and Outreach Supervisor will be responsible for booking and overseeing all aspects of the group sales and consignment process.  This includes booking groups, reconciling tickets and payments, and interacting with groups during their park visit.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive new group business and maintain existing group business to meet and achieve yearly sales and attendance goals
  • Cultivate relationships with key community stakeholders, trade groups, industry contacts, travel/tourism boards, hospitality partners and local organizations
  • Promote and sell all aspects of group sales which includes non-catered groups, catered groups, online consignment, hard ticket consignment, specialty groups and hotel partners
  • Proactively research, grow, and maintain sales database by connecting with new and current customers including tracking and analyzing sales data 
  • Track and analyze sales data to identify trends and sales patterns to support decision making, goal setting and yearly planning  
  • Audit competitors regularly to ensure pricing and strategies to maintain a competitve advantage in-market
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner from guests via phone and web. Handle and resolve customer issues regarding products or services within group sales or special events
  • Develop content for sales flyers and promotions, website information, and mailings with regard to offerings and pricing each season, including email campaigns via Salesforce
  • Oversee operation of catered events at the park.  Train and supervise seasonal marketing/sales team members on ticket collections and guest service at catered pavilion events
  • Report sales within each channel segment
  • Work alongside marketing to coordinate and execute integrated sales campaigns
  • Build internal relationships with operations and management teams to ensure the success of group sales and events
  • Professionally represent and market the facility at industry meetings, tradeshows and off-site events








·         Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including customer service skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively with a wide range of diverse populations.  Represent the Company well internally and externally and convey a professional and positive image of the organization and business affiliates

·         Leadership – Sales Strategist with the ability to grow new sales groups and maintain current groups, effectively management events from start to finish including building contracts and after-event billing.  Maintain event calendars and schedules with commitment to detail.  Excellent time management skills are a must.

  • Problem Solving/Analysis:  Define problems, research and collect data, draw valid conclusions and execute remedial strategies in a timely manner. 
  • Flexibility – Handle multiple priorities simultaneously; maintain a flexible work schedule to meet changing demands for multiple concurrent projects, and ability to adapt to changing events and strategies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Computer Proficiency – MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint), Experience with Salesforce CRM


Qualifications & Education Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and/or Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related fields preferred

·         Flexible schedule - must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays during the operating season

·         Experience in the entertainment or amusement and attractions industry a plus, but not required


Languages: Fluent English



This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Sales at Noah’s Ark.
